    Victoria plans to pump 60 million tonnes CO2 a year, underground into onshore and offshore water systems

     The Victorian Government announced the first grants from Energy Technology Innovation Strategy (ETIS) fund for new large-scale, pre-commercial Carbon Capture Storage (CCS) demonstration projects in Victoria. This was connected to the seven CO2 dump exploration licences opened for bid in March 2009, and not yet concluded.
